Welcome to Rose ParkThe historic Rose Park neighborhood is located in the City of Long Beach, California and just blocks from the beautiful Pacific Ocean between Cherry Avenue and Redondo Avenue to the west and east, and Fourth Street and Tenth Street to the south and north. The icon of our neighborhood is a small historic park located on Orizaba Avenue at Eighth Street.
The Rose Park Neighborhood Association (RPNA) is a recognized a nonprofit volunteer organization organized to represent the residents of this area and to protect and promote its interests. Our Association is responsible for one of the largest geographical association areas in the City, with more than 5,000 residents and two designated historic districts.
It is a real pleasure to represent the residents of Rose Park as your new president.
Just in the last few years I’ve seen many positive changes to our neighborhood and I hope to continue that momentum by encouraging more involvement by the Rose Park residents. Together we can reach out into the community and identify problems that are common to all neighborhoods and find solutions to those problems. When our neighborhood works together as a unified body all of our lives here in Rose Park greatly improve.
The association was established to monitor issues relevant to the neighborhood and to encourage thoughtful and visionary urban planning. This planning should respect, celebrate, and preserve the character, integrity, and quality of life of the area as it evolves.
On behalf of the Rose Park Neighborhood Association we invite you to help us shape the future of this historic neighborhood.
Our main priorities for this year include: to continue to strategize for the best way to keep heavy traffic flows out of the neighborhood with a primary focus on urban crime; celebrate our historic neighborhood with events that capture our community spirit; keep our park available and fun, making Rose Park a safe and desirable neighborhood for all residents.
