Fall Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association FORUM
September 20, 2023 at 6:00 pm 
Immanuel Place, 3215 East 3rd Street

Neighbors are invited to attend and discuss concerns and share ideas at the Fall Neighborhood Forum with the Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association. Guest speakers include Vice Mayor Allen and a visit from the Long Beach Police Department.

COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS AT ROSE PARK

Rose Park Residents, local business owners and friends of Rose Park are invited to a community meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to Rose Park on 8th and Orizaba Avenue.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 28th from 4 to 5PM. We hope you will join us to give your input on these suggested improvements below.

Some of the improvements to Rose Park INCLUDE:

• Remove mosaic fill with concrete and stamp with
rose design
• Remove rose bushes
• Fill and pave planters
• Install small table and chairs
• Replace rose trees with drought tolerant plants
• Install gazebo lighting on the periphery
• Install locked electrical outlet
• Repainting

What’s NOT INCLUDED:

• Display Light
• Parks, Recreation and Marine does not maintain; susceptible to vandalism
• Up-lighting on trees
• PRM does not maintain up lights on trees
• Traffic calming measure in round about
• Round about is included in the Mid-City Bicycle
and Pedestrian Connections project that received
grant funding for improvements led by Public
Works Mobility team. For more information

Long Beach Skate is hosting a benefit art show this Saturday to raise funds for two nonprofits.

It’s an awesome lineup of artists, a skate jam and a DJ! The funds raised will purchase adaptive bicycles for individuals with disabilities and special needs with the Airow Project & for CSEF – College scholarship fund for skateboarders!
