Summer Arts Institute for Youth

The Long Beach Youth Chorus Summer Arts Institute is an immersive summer program for all ages offering experiences beyond choral music, including visual and other areas of performing arts. The Summer Arts Institute will culminate with the Long Beach Family Arts Festival on Saturday, June 25. The festival will feature Kick it Up Dance Studio, The Jazz Angels, Musique Sur La Mer Orchestra, The Kids Theater Company, The Long Beach Youth Chorus, the unveiling of the Roses for Rose Park community mural, and Rose Park Neighborhood’s ArtWorksLBC program!

LGBTQ+ Community Leaders

In honor of Pride Month, Senator Lena Gonzalez is recognizing LGBTQ+ community leaders, allies or advocates including individuals, organizations or groups of volunteers making a difference in advancing equity and inclusion through significant and direct volunteer service.

If you know someone doing great work in Senate District 33, submit your nominations here by June 15, 2022.

The list of all LA County Vote Centers can be found online and can be searched by 11-day or four-day locations. Here in the 2nd district, you can vote today at the Senior Center! The four-day voting centers near us at Bixby Park, Macarthur Park, and St. Matthews Catholic Church are to open at 10 am! 

Vote by Mail ballots may be returned by mail (no postage required), in person at any Vote Center in Los Angeles, or at any Vote by Mail drop box. Long Beach voters have 24-hour access to drop boxes at participating locations across LA County, including 17 drop box locations throughout Long Beach.

Vote by Mail drop boxes are now open and will remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, June 7. All voters may track their ballots at  https://california.ballottrax.net/voter/.
