Please join us at 7th St. Church (E7th & Obispo) Tuesday May 8th from 7pm-8pm. This workshop will be lead by Cmdr. Herzog and staff from the East LB Police Station. Come with questions! Our members, Danielle Dague Potter and Kenny Shiozaki-Kawamoto who have been looking at the site have some case questions ready for the Rose Park community.
For those who find graffiti know that LB has an aggressive program of abatement. You call, they come. Unless the graffiti is on someone else’s property and then that property owner needs to call. Download the Go LB app. I use it weekly as I walk the neighborhood – it’s quick and effective. We had a break-out of graffiti that sprouted on the abandoned structures at E7th and Temple. This property, owned privately, continues under the superfund program due to the in-ground gas tanks. Unclear, when it can be sold and so forth. BUT it takes constant attention to keep the area neat and clean. Julie Bedard regularly calls up to volunteer to clear the weeds. And Devin Ablard, 2nd Council District Office helped get the structures clear of graffiti. Thank you both!
