The CCC (Coronado Cooling Center) remains active due to continuing heat. This week’s tip are cooling towels, found at pharmacies, on-line and referred to as chilly clothes. All you need to do is wet the cloth, wring it out and it lasts and lasts as a cool way to cool down. Or Bonnie’s suggestions of Tu/Saturday sprinkler fun.
Notes from the CCC – Coronado Cooling Center. This week’s message is ICE. No, not the federal agency under question. Ice, frozen water. Freeze over night, paper cups are good and pull out to use on various parts during the day. Be smart – cover ice with a towel or just rub over body for a couple of minutes. It doesn’t take long and you can place back in freezer to re-use.
And of course, remaining hydrated…..watermelon, cucumbers, water.
Offer your cool place to someone who does not have a place to cool off during the day.
