The Good News?

We’ve been receiving news – good news. News of good being done by and for Rose Parkians!

A whole wraparound action at Lutheran Towers with Chan Park, Resident Services Coordinator! Shopping and Delivery, Fresh Produce Shared, Meals prepared and delivered, Gift Bags stuffed with fun items. Our LB community is helping with friendly calls, creating automated newsy messages, and creating phone and flyer activities.

Food in the Neighborhood. Food insecurity is real. In addition to stabilizing the food needs for the 100 residents at Lutheran Towers here are some ‘food notes’

o Farm Boxes – weekly at E7th & Obispo with LB Farms. Thank you Revive! The first week there were 27 subscribers, the second week it has doubled!

o Rose Park Packs – Not everyone needs food but we all need nourishment. So the RPNA Board with all its friends, neighbors and associates are working to support individuals and households that need a ‘pick me up’. If you have identified someone that might need a Rose Park Pack (includes information, some canned food, fun teas/candies, face mask) please do not hesitate to let us know info@rpna.org.

o Informing our neighbors – Check out our Covid19 Resource Center for Safer at Home tips and go-to numbers.

My mother always said “choose your friends well”! Well, Micky at the LB Time Exchange has done an extraordinary job of producing face coverings for the community, especially those unsheltered. And our very own JannaV has been creating masks for all kinds of folks. They both need supplies! Please email info@rpna.org if you have 100% cotton, elastic, or interface material.
