Council District 2 Neighborhood Candidates Forum at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church

More than 100 people attended the Council District 2 Neighborhood Candidates Forum on Thursday, February 15th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. The incumbent and Council District 2 Vice Mayor Cindy Allen and Friends of Bixby Park President Ketty Citterios were asked 6 pre-determined questions which included topics such as Transportation and Traffic, Public Safety, Housing and the UnHoused, Diversity and Inclusion, Historic Preservation, and Community Health and Wellness. These topics were identified as high priority areas for residents from the city’s budget survey and identified as concerns brought forth from neighborhood associations in Council District 2.

The last 20 minutes of the forum included questions from attendees regarding the candidate’s plans for school safety improvement, use of discretionary funds, support for local businesses, labor, trash and waste disposal.
