Light our Night – Rose Park’s Alley Initiative

Interested in Lighting your Alleyway?

Rose Park Neighborhood Association & Rebuilding Together Long Beach want to help residents and business owners install an exterior, solar-powered, motion-sensor light in their alleyway.

Benefits include:

  • Lights tend to deter crime
  • Lights provide better visibility for those walking at night
  • Lights help residents and business owners move from their car to their home

If you think a motion detector light will be helpful in your alleyway, email info@rpna.org to learn more. [this project is time limited…..so email as soon as you can]

LB State expands our East 7th Street History Project

Dr. Christine Jocoy, CSULB and Chris Wisniewski, RP resident presented the latest addition to our East 7th Street History website at our recent RPNA Board Meeting. Funded by the Long Beach Naval Heritage Fund, Dr. Jocoy and students and staff were funded to expand the data associated with the development of our area. There are seven ‘stories’ or points of analysis that were developed as a result of their effort. Check it out here: www.e7shp.org/atlas
