Long Beach Youth Chorus 2019, picture courtesy of Stan DeWitt

The Long Beach Youth Chorus (LBYC) was founded in 2017 with the goal of being the premiere civic/community children’s/youth chorus in the city. In its short history, it has performed with the Long Beach Symphony, the Camerata Singers of Long Beach, the Long Beach Chorale, the band Jelly of the Month Club, and has performed at various events throughout the city.

This season the LBYC has moved it’s rehearsals into the Rose Park backyard! The Chorus rehearses on Sundays from 3:30-5:30 at St. Matthew Catholic Church on 7th and Temple, and is open to children grades 5-12. They also have a Young Musicians’ Program for grades 2-4 that teaches young musicians how to read and enjoy music.

The tuition for both groups is only $100 for the entire season in order to make it available to every child. Register online at https://longbeachyouthchorus.org/registration
