Each natural disaster reminds us of what we have not yet done. By all the experts our neighborhood will need to fend for itself for a minimum of 3 days.

  • 3 days of water
  • 3 days of canned non perishables. You may get tired of baked beans but you’ll survive.
  • Know how to turn off the gas to your house – check with neighbors to help them do the same.
  • Your medications – always have 3 days left. Especially for critical conditions.
  • Don’t get overwhelmed with lengthy lists of things to do/have on hand.  Remember in many instances –  in our area – we can live outside if need be. They did it in 1933 after the LB quake.

Want to join in on Tai Chi in Rose Park?

The Tai Chi class meets Tuesday mornings at 8:15am. It is pretty regular. If and when the weather gets rainy in the winter we meet at the Universal Mind Science Church a couple blocks away. Otherwise, if it’s Tuesday it’s Tai Chi in Rose Park.

This is a great introductory class and for some just the perfect level. All are welcome – it is free. Although donations may be made to Heart of Ida that brings the program to our neighborhood. If you’d like to be placed on the reminder eblast please email info@rpna.org. A short email is sent every Monday…..a gentle reminder.
