Evening under the lights about “The Lights”

Nearly 60 came, shared a wonderful meal by Dan Zorkot the owner of the soon to open Bistro on 7th (corner of Coronado).

The Fall Community Meeting opened with introductions, and then a great offer from CSULB Women’s Basketball Team.

Over dinner we discussed the next steps of our “Light the Night” initiative – lighting our alleys in Rose Park Neighborhood. Several alley groups came prepared. On hand were Lt. Dina Zapalski and Ruth Ann Salau from LBPD, Terri Griffith from Rebuilding Together LB, and Devin Ablard, from CD2. We had two guests from Whittier Historic District that want to implement a similar program. Teri provided the history  of this innovative program  and about the pilot which was implemented last year. Dennis Herbert, resident on Gladys spoke of the benefits (pilot area). If you/neighbors have an alley that needs lighting in the Rose Park Neighborhood area (4th:10th Redondo:Cherry) and want more info please contact us info@rpna.org
