"Volunteerism is the willingness of people to work on behalf of others without the expectation of pay or other tangible gain,” according to Webster’s Dictionary.
This defines your RPNA board of directors. We are eleven individuals working on behalf of 5,000 residents of the Rose Park historic districts to improve the quality of life in our community. Now we need you, a volunteer, to help us further our mission.
We continue to create community events that take place in Rose Park, events that we hope will become annual traditions that bring us together as a community of family and friends. We’ve already launched Picnic in the Park, Summer Movies in the Park, the Holiday Tree Lighting, and coming soon, the Easter Egg-Extravaganza.
We have many more wonderful ideas for Rose Park gatherings, but we need your help to implement them. Please consider becoming an active volunteer on the Rose Park Events Committee.
We need your ideas, your expertise and your participation. Everyone is welcome. Please go to www.rpna.org to fill out the volunteer form, or call 562-368-4877.
We’ll get back to you. That’s a promise!
The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, July 24.
The RPNA board’s mission is to serve as an advocate for the residents of our historic districts. We have established committees dedicated to issues of public safety and code enforcement, Rose Park improvements, membership, and communication through the bi-monthly Rose Park newsletter, RPNA website and e-mail announcements.
We’ve also initiated more great Rose Park events–Tree Lighting for Peace and Egg-Stravaganza–which will join our Picnic in the Park as annual community gatherings.
Join the RPNA Board of Directors and help us make a difference!
