Nonprofit Spotlight

The Heart of Ida helps older adults preserve independent living, and brings comfort and cheer when assisted living is necessary.

“Working with our neighborhoods is critical. Nonprofits are the voice of the people we serve. If we are doing our job we should understand our community and their needs. We want people to know we are here and the services we provide.” – Dina Berg, Executive Director, Heart of Ida.

Heart of Ida offers several classes in the community to help with fall prevention by improving balance and physical performance. Attend a tai chi class at Rose Park every Tuesday from 8:15 – 9:15am.

The Heart of Ida is looking for volunteer dog walkers, handy men/women, office help, and other. If you’re interested in volunteering with the Heart of Ida, email Dina Berg at dbheartofida@gmail.com. Learn more at www.heartofida.org/.
