Summer ‘Break’?

We’d like to think we’d have something fun and hip every week. We do! All of Long Beach and Southern California!

For the Rose Park Neighborhood Association, we are at the end of our ‘board year’ and are planning for the next. We spend time reviewing and pondering. We have several people who’ve have agreed to be nominated to the Rose Park Neighborhood Board! The election takes place at our annual picnic “Sunday in the Park”. Please plan to attend and BYO picnic! Enjoy the great music and very fun games. July 21st 11am-2pm.

Even though our Board goes through this hiatus, so to speak, we continue to offer ongoing actions and initiatives. Besides working on the picnic, there a whole new action on E7th “The Parking Lot” for our teens to be debuted Friday July 12th, our newsletter which is distributed to 2000 residences, and catching up with all the Climate Action/Adaptation efforts we’ll all need to be making. In August we’ll have games in the Park for National Night Out Tuesday August 6th and pleased to host Council Member Pearce in the Park at a Meet and Greet Wednesday August 21st 7pm.

Who will serve on the board?

Every June we put the call out for those wanting to be part of the solution. In other words a Rose Park Board Member. Does it take enthusiasm? dedication? interest? willingness to meet others half-way? Yes! to all of the above. Please submit name and contact to: info@rpna.org

Note:

Election is the day of our summer picnic – July 21st – all nominees must be present to be elected.

And all nominees must be a current RPNA member. Not a current member – Please sign up here
