LB State expands our East 7th Street History Project

Dr. Christine Jocoy, CSULB and Chris Wisniewski, RP resident presented the latest addition to our East 7th Street History website at our recent RPNA Board Meeting. Funded by the Long Beach Naval Heritage Fund, Dr. Jocoy and students and staff were funded to expand the data associated with the development of our area. There are seven ‘stories’ or points of analysis that were developed as a result of their effort. Check it out here: www.e7shp.org/atlas

There is still time to participate in Light Our Night Initiative

Hello Rose Park neighbors,

Thank you for attending the Rose Park Neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, September 27th at the Bistro on 7th. We hope that you are busy connecting with your neighbors regarding their interest in installing solar-powered, motion sensor lights in your alleyways.

Just a reminder to email info@rpna.org by Friday, November 3rd with the following:

  • # of lights needed (must be a minimum of 6 lights)
  • 6 or more addresses of those in need of lights
  • the email and phone number of the 2 people working on behalf of your block

Once we receive your email, an association member will contact you to set up a time to walk your alleyway. You can also email info@rpna.org with any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Danielle Potter Dague
