Enjoy a fun and friendly “Pot Luck and Bottle Share” at The Red Leprechaun’s next “Public House Night”—this one designed especially for Rose Park Residents, their friends, and family!—on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 6:30p-8:30p.
The Red Leprechaun, Long Beach’s wonderful new Irish pub that opened this past summer in nearby Termino Heights (Anaheim St at Termino Ave), offers special, family-friendly community events on select Wednedays of every month that they call “Public House Nights.” These special Wednesday events are designed to forego profits and instead focus on giving back to the community. They are meant to be a time in which locals can get together, meet one another, discuss their shared interests, and find ways to improve their neighborhood, the city, and places beyond. It’s a time when a pub, which is short for “public house,” makes good on its essential nature: being hospitable and welcoming to all who enter its doors. These Wednesday events are a time to gather and mingle in a friendly and relaxed local space, and have a good time making new friends while doing so.
This coming Wednesday, January 22nd, Proprieter Tracy Ames and General Manager Mark Truzzolino, both of The Red Leprechaun, have partnered with Peter Joseph of the Big red Bus to host a Pot Luck and Bottle Share especially for us residents of Rose Park. It’s easy and simple to participate—simply prepare a favorite dish (sized, if you can, to feed 4-6 people, which translates to 15-20 tastings) or grab a favorite, large-ish, unopened bottle of drink (or do both), and hop on the Big Red Bus for your free ride to the Red Leprechaun’s front door. The trolley will be making round trips between The Red Leprechaun and several stops in both Rose Park South and Rose Park North throughout the evening, which means your travel to and from the pub will be free and easy that evening.
Specific trolley stop locations, one of which will be Rose Park (8th St at Orizaba Ave), will be announced soon.
Don’t forget that this is family-friendly event, so all the kids are welcome!
The only other thing you’re asked to do is contact Tracy or Mark in person if you’ll be at the Red Leprechaun sometime before the 22nd, or call them at (562) 494-8726, and let them know what appetizer, entré, side dish, dessert, or drink you’ll be bringing to the event that evening.
