While I was attending one of Cody Lusby’s Roses for Rose Park workshops, I knew the rose I was painting was going to business owner, Eric Zahn at 2539 E7th Street in Rose Park Neighborhood. I met Eric at my son’s Long Beach Little League game where I learned that Eric is the Principal Restoration Ecologist and Co-Founder of Tidal Influence. Tidal Influence is an ecological consulting firm that restores and manages wetlands and educates the community about our remaining local wildlands.

The Zahn Family established their chiropractic business at 2539 E7th Street in 1921. The family property also served as a law office, until it became Eric’s business Tidal Influence in 2019.

Eric told me that he loves hearing the stories his father tells him about growing up in this neighborhood and that he is extremely proud to have a rose in his window! Tidal Influence is focused on coastal habitat restoration and environmental education.
