Come on out Saturday morning October 9th at 10:30am for coffee and donuts and learn more about neighborhood initiatives and how to get involved. Learn about important initiatives including:
Hearts Across Long Beach – A community wellness project for essential workers. Participating organizations are provided a mosaic art kit to create a moment of beauty, healing, and self expression with these mosaic hearts. The mosaic hearts will be displayed as part of an exhibition within the community.
On the Boulevard – This on-going activity aims to bring out neighbors, businesses and participating organizations along E7th Street. This interaction allows for increased and improved relationships among individual shop and business owners and the residents within walking distance. The overall goal is to increase the safety and walkability of this high-speed corridor!
The Flower Wall – A community art wall in our neighborhood at E7th Street and Dawson. Community volunteers create mosaic flowers, butterflies, and more to revitalize this space.
Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE event!
Join the Long Beach Citizen’s Advisory Commission on Disability for a presentation highlighting Disability History – celebrating the historic contributions of America’s disability community on Thursday, October 7th at 11:30am.
There will be a brief Q & A after the presentation with the Commissioners.
ASL interpretation will be provided. Language interpretation is provided upon request by emailing Heather.VanWijk@longbeach.gov.
