12/6, ROSE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY MEETUP
Over 75 residents met up in the alleyway of 2720 E. 8th Street to take part in ornament making with ArtWorksLBC, and paint rose medallions with artist Cody Lusby, George Benitez and Janna Vandenberg. Residents connected with local resources including the Red Cross, Long Beach Utilities, 4th Street Farmers Market, and enjoyed live music from Kapuna Ukulele Club, and lunch from Rivera’s Mexican on 7th Street. Thanks to the Port of Long Beach for the community sponsorship.
Thank you to Ken Takata and his team of the Red Cross for signing residents up to receive a free smoke alarm. Much appreciation to Kelli Johnson of 4th Street Farmers Market, Long Beach Utilities and Kapuna Ukulele Club for attending!
