NOMINATIONS FOR 2026-2027 BOARD MEMBERS

Join the Board of the Rose Park Neighborhood Association!

Do you care about neighborhood safety, beautification, and bringing people together? If you’re passionate about building community through events and partnerships with city agencies, nonprofits, and local businesses, this could be the volunteer opportunity for you.

What The Board Does

  • Sets neighborhood priorities based on resident feedback
  • Identifies funding opportunities and grows membership to support community driven initiatives
  • Oversees programs like signature events, neighborhood clean-ups, revitalization projects, pedestrian safety initiatives, and community meetups
  • Represents the Rose Park Neighborhood Association with City partners and community organizations

What We’re Looking For

  • Neighbors who are collaborative, reliable, and aligned with our mission
  • People with lived experience in the Rose Park neighborhood and a passion for its diverse community
  • Skills in one or more of the following areas:
    • Fundraising and grant writing
    • Communications and social media
    • Event planning and coordination
    • Community organizing and advocacy
    • Nonprofit governance

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 4-6 hours per month: One board meeting plus committee or project work
  • One year term (renewable)

We’re committed to building a welcoming, inclusive board that reflects the full diversity of the Rose Park Neighborhood —renters and homeowners, families and older adults, artists, small business owners, and both new and longtime neighbors.

Expectations for All Board Members

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings
  • Engage with residents and listen to concerns
  • Based on resident feedback and surveys, sets priorities and initiatives
  • Serve on committees and attend designated events 
  • Act as ambassadors for the neighborhood
  • Support fundraising and resource development
  • Uphold respect, inclusivity, and transparency
