Volunteer Spotlight

Why is it Important to be Involved in Your Neighborhood?

“We love our neighbors, our community, and this city. For our family, it is important to be present and to have a voice in the decisions and actions that will shape our future. Each of us has more power than we realize, to be a part of the change that we want to see. It’s our responsibility to promote the great elements within the neighborhood and help improve those sectors that are lacking.” – Adelita, Andrew & Juliana Lopez

*Adelita formed a Community Watch Group to connect Rose Park Residents and surrounding neighborhoods with each other and to community resources. Adelita and her husband Andrew constructed their own community garden with the help of Long Beach Community Table.
